I was only able to spend a few days in Bolivia and, I am sorry to say, I took very few photographs. I traveled from Puno, in Perú, by bus along the southeastern shore of Lake Titicaca. After crossing the border into Bolivia, we boarded a boat (a motorized catamaran) and traveled from Copacabana to Huatajata, Bolivia. Along the way, we stopped briefly at the Island of the Sun (legendary birthplace of the Inca). Once we reached Huatajata, we boarded another bus to La Paz.

By the time I reached La Paz, I was suffering from a rather annoying bout of road sickness. That, combined with the 12,000-foot altitude of the city made it hard for me to enjoy the place. To make matters worse, there is apparently no flat surface in La Paz and all major sidewalks are jammed with street vendors, so even the most modest walk becomes a battle against both the altitude and humanity.

Under the circumstances, I cannot say I gave La Paz a fair shake. I hope to return some day and give it a second chance. Also, there are other areas of Bolivia I hope to visit in the future.
